Belgrano

Belgrano is an established, desirable barrio in the north of the city, between Palermo and Núñez. It splits into Belgrano R (British and Tudor mansions, embassies), Belgrano C (the commercial heart plus Chinatown) and Bajo Belgrano toward the river. Named for flag-creator Manuel Belgrano and founded in 1855, it was briefly the seat of national government in 1880. Daily life is residential, family-oriented and local, Avenida Cabildo is a busy retail spine, while the side streets are quiet and tree-lined. Weekend life anchors on the Barrancas de Belgrano park and the Feria Plaza Belgrano, with the colourful Barrio Chino drawing visitors from across the city. For investors it is a blue-chip hold: premium but not extreme pricing, reliable long-term tenants, high safety and deep amenities. The trade-offs are moderate yield and weaker short-let demand than Palermo.
